TPC Danzante Bay- hole 15
TPC Danzante Bay was designed by Rees Jones and opened for play in 2017.
The course is set in a rugged mountainous landscape not far from Loreto on the Baja peninsula.
The adventurous routing takes the golfer through desert and sand dunes, up and down through dramatic mountain settings and really grabs the golfer's attention on the sea side holes.
The dramatic par 3 seventeenth has a peninsula green set high above the Sea of Cortez, and is the signature hole.
It is a hole you will not forget, and one of the most dramatic holes in golf.
TPC Danzante Bay is a championship course off the back tees, but offers a very enjoyable journey from forward tees for travelling golfers.
There are five tees on each hole, and personally I would love to stay a few days and play off different tees.
Notable Holes include:
- hole 3 is a testing par 3 stretching out to 186 metres on the back tees. The green is tucked in a canyon defended by a deep arroyo.

- hole 7, a dramatic downhill par 4 through a canyon surrounded by massive rock formations.

- hole 9, a lovely drop shot par 3 protected by bunkers left front and back. The high tee is exposed to the wind, so club selection is paramount.

- hole 12, a long par 5 protected by sandy blow outs and an arroyo off the tee. The green is set close to the sea.
